We had such an amazing Christmas this year! Every year, Shane “gets” the holiday more & more- and this year, he was as excited as I remember being as a kid! We always do our Christmas in segments- we wake up & open presents from Mom &Dad and Santa, then my parents come over, and then we go to Justin’s parents’ house. This year, we also went to their house the Saturday after since Justin’s sister & her husband came to town, so Shane got an extra day of Christmas! I took well over 100 pictures on Christmas Eve & Christmas, so below are just some of my favorites.

One last glimpse at the Christmas tree before bed on Christmas Eve!

He was so excited to put out cookies & milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer!

He even helped Daddy get the carrots ready!

The tree before Santa’s arrival!

After a visit from the Jolly Old Elf!

Santa always leaves candy canes in our tree!

It’s tradition- we always open stockings first!

Shane was excited to help Bella empty her stocking- where they found a newspaper toy!

This has a s year, we let Shane choose an ornament. Last year, he chose the one above. Unfortunately, the day after we put our tree up this year, Shane knocked this one off & shattered it. Santa knew how devastated Shane was about it & brought him a brand new one that was just like it! Shane told everyone about it &said it was one of his favorite things all day.

Bella loved her present! She had some trouble burying it, though.

Shane loved all of his presents, too. He got so excited after every last one!

Bella wanted to see what we were all looking at. She made herself at home sniffing everything &laying on discarded wrapping paper.

Speaking of wrapping paper.. there was a lot of Christmas carnage!

Shane is completely in love with his kitchen. He plays with it all the time & likes to pretend to make dinner whenever I’m in the kitchen- a bonus because it keeps him out from underfoot when I’m cooking!

Before presents, Shane wore his Santa hat &watched his Papa {Grandpa} dance really silly to a Christmas song.

He was excited for presents at the in-laws, too!

He got a super cool ride-on, but he’s a little afraid of it when it’s actually moving. We’re working on it.

He also got some great light sabers &played with Grandpa- he doesn’t even know what a light saber is, but he thinks they’re the coolest.swords.ever.
As you can see, we had a day full of magic & memories. I hope all of you had holidays that were just as wonderful!
