The Honest Company: Eco-Friendly & Adorable Products for Your Every Day Life

One day when Shane was smaller, I was giving him a bath. He had a few minutes left to play, but I was bored, so I started reading the shampoo bottle. I realized that I had no idea what most of the ingredients were- and that I had no idea if they were good or bad for my child. That moment kind of woke me up to what else he may be coming into contact with that he shouldn’t.

I always knew to make sure to get BPA-free bottles, but I didn’t know much more than that. &While I still wouldn’t call myself completely green, I have definitely started looking into products more closely before purchasing them and making sure that they aren’t harming my child. I’d love to be more green & am slowly changing out products that we use in our family, but there are some things that I wish I would have known about when Shane was a baby!

I wish I would have known about The Honest Company three years ago- they are a company that makes diapers, wipes, and household goods like cleaners and detergents. But more importantly- they use the safest ingredients for your family, including it’s littlest members. They are free of harmful chemicals & allergens and when you order from The Honest Company, you no longer have to wonder if what you’re exposing your child to is safe.

Shane is three years & three months old, so if you do the math, that means we’ve changed his diapers around 5,925 times. I don’t know about you, but that number shocks me. Diaper changes are never fun, but The Honest Company makes them a bit more exciting with adorable designs! They currently have 13 adorable designs for both boys & girls. We ordered a few different ones & Shane was obsessed with the “pirate” one {the skull & crossbones} & I loved the anchors one since it matches the tattoo on my foot! {Random, I know, but it’s the little things.} Shane was actually genuinely excited to see what his next diaper would have on it, which made diaper changes easier for us.

The Honest Company is a Certified B Corporation, which means that it’s dedicated to making a profound social difference by protecting people and the planet. They’re constantly trying to be a better business by making their own manufacturing process even more green & they are a very active member of the B Corp Community.

In addition to being green, they also give back. The Honest Company donates time, money & product to their charitible partner, Baby2Baby.org, a non-profit that supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for children up to age 12.

The Honest Company was started by a mom and a dad who, like many modern parents, were increasingly worried about products made with questionable chemical ingredients. But the alternatives they found were often expensive, inaccessible, bland, or ineffective. In response to this clear need for something better, they created The Honest Company to ensure that parents (or anyone for that matter!) could easily find natural and non-toxic eco-friendly products that are beautiful, effective, and affordable. From customized product bundles to diapers and wipes to an ever-expanding line of cleaning and personal care products, you can find everything you need at Honest.com and have it delivered directly to your front door.
