Shane, like most three-year-old boys, is really into transportation. Planes, trains, you name it- he loves it. So when I found out about the Tomica Hypercity Rescue Storm Runner Jet that is not only a jet but a submarine & a race car as well, I knew Shane would love it!
This 3-in-1 vehicle can be played with many ways. The storm runner can transport the hero engine, and it’s easy to transform the vehicles! Even Shane can do it with a little guidance and he’s on the very low end of the age spectrum for the toy.
Shane’s favorite way to play with it is as a race car. He loves to drive it around &around! He also loves the police hero train engine, which comes with a TomiHero. I’ve told Shane that the vehicle is a police train & that the TomiHero is a police officer, but he insists that they are a rocket ship and astronaut. But I’m all about imagination & creative play so I don’t mind one bit!
He’s been playing with it a lot since we got it, and it hasn’t had any damage yet. While Tomica toys are generally recommended for ages 4 & up, I know Shane loves this one and that we’ll be adding to his collection soon! They even have individual cars that would be great for him to use on their own or with the sets.
