There’s a Silk for Everyone!

Milk is a staple in the kitchen- whether you’re baking brownies, making omelets or just having a quick bowl of cereal. I use milk for something almost daily. The problem with that is that I’m lactose intolerant- and a bowl of cereal, no matter how chocolatey, isn’t worth the stomachache that comes with it.

I discovered Silk’s soy and almond milks a couple of years ago and have been obsessed ever since. Not only can I enjoy it without stomach aches, but I can even get flavored varieties-the Silk Soy Vanilla in cereal is amazing- and packs 6g of protein! They even have lighter varieties that have less calories- like the Pure Almond Unsweetened, which has only 30 calories per serving {even nonfat milk has about 80 calories}.

I use soy and almond milk {I buy based on what my grocery store has in stock and use them interchangeably} all the time. When I bake, I love using Vanilla flavored milk to give it a little extra sweetness. When I cook, I use the original variety.

Whether you’re more likely to use soy milk for baking cookies or making smoothies, there’s a Silk for everyone! It’s a great alternative to regular milk- it has 32mg of DHA Omega-3 in every serving and most varieties have less calories than the regular stuff. It also comes in seven yummy flavors, including Vanilla, Chocolate, Original, Very Vanilla, Light Vanilla, Light Chocolate, and Light Original.
