I love coming up with new recipes, especially when they’re inspired by something besides food. So when Renuzit & Social Fabric asked me to come up with a recipe that was inspired by their new Tempting Indulgences line of dessert-scented products, I jumped on board!

Renuzit sent me two delicious new scents to sample for inspiration: Crème Brulee and Chocolate Covered Cherries. I love the smell of both of them, but the Crème Brulee one was really good, so I used that as my inspiration!
I headed to my local Vons to check out ingredients to try to decide what to make- you can see my entire shopping trip by checking out my G+ album!

I decided that it would be way too obvious to just make Crème Brulee, and I don’t have one of those super hardcore torch things anyway, so that was out. But the cone smelled to me like sugar, toffee, and caramel- so I put the three together & came up with Toffee Sugar Cookies with Caramel!

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup toffee chips
- Caramel sauce as desired
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Beat butter and sugar with electric mixer on low {or by hand} until creamy
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, blend
- In a separate bowl, combine baking powder, salt and flour
- Slowly pour dry mix into butter and sugar mix {while the mixer is on, if using one}
- Mix on low for 1 minute
- Stir in toffee chips {you can use more than one cup if desired} and mix for 30 more seconds
- Spoon dough onto cookie sheet{s}
- Bake for 8-10 mins
- Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to fully cool
- Just before serving, drizzle with caramel sauce

They’re so simple, but so delicious! &Since they’re simple enough to make whenever, they really live up to the Renuzit Tempting Indulgences slogan: “Make every day sweeter!”
Renuzit has so many scents out there that I am feeling inspired to make more fun recipes, too! I’m thinking I’ll try something with the citrus scent next. Which one sparks your creativity?

You can find Renuzit products at most major retailers, including Walmart & Safeway stores. Keep an eye out for the yummy Tempting Indulgences line as well as their new Fresh Accents products, which I think are SO pretty {&of course, smell great too}!

&Be sure to check out Renuzit on Facebook to find out when new products & scents launch!
What dessert would you like to see as a Tempting Indulgences cone?

I am really hungry right now and those look yummy! I used to use renuzit all the time and forgot about them, gotta get more!
Yes, definitely check them out! The new scents are amazing {although they all are}!
Awesome! How fun! Your recipe looks and sounds delicious too. I am a renuzit junkie and have at least 6 of them around my house at all times! My favorite scent is cinnamon but they don’t make the strong cinnamon one anymore.

I hate when companies stop making my favorite stuff!
I’ll keep an eye out for it in case they bring it back.
I am so excited that the cookie recipe looks like something I can do. I am putting toffee chips on my grocery list. I still have 5 more Renuzits in the closet but next time I need to stock up I will check out the new scents. Thanks for posting.
