I can not begin to tell you how excited I am about this movie! You know how every kid has that movie that they make their parents watch every single day? The Wizard of Oz was MY movie. My best friend &I used to play both Wizard of Oz & Return to Oz {I was Ozma, she was Dorothy} &my mom would play the Wicked Witch & hide my Wizard of Oz figurines around the house and we’d find them. I may have grown up, but Oz still holds a special place in my heart! {&Kindle- I just started reading the entire series!}
Anyway, as you can see I’m very excited for this new Oz-centric movie!

About the movie:
Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

My 14 year old watched the Wizard of Oz every day until he was about 12 years old. I can’t wait to take him to see this!
The Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorites, no matter how many times I have seen it. I am so excited to see this new film next year.

I haven’t heard about this film before but I, too, love The Wizard of Oz. This will definitely be on my must-see list next year.
