Looking for something different for Christmas dessert? Or do you want to surprise your friends and family with a gift from the heart? This recipe will have you on the top of everyone’s Christmas-card list for years to come.
Ingredients
16 Ferrero Chocolates
300g milk chocolate
100g glace cherries, roughly chopped
150g marshmallows, roughly chopped
¼ cup of hazelnuts, roughly chopped
Instructions
Line the base and sides of a cake tin with plastic wrap or aluminium foil.
Melt milk chocolate over very low heat.
When chocolate is almost melted, toss in the Ferrero Chocolates and stir until warmed.
Coat the bottom of your cake tin with a layer of the milk chocolate and Ferrero mix.
Top with two-thirds of the cherry/marshmallow/hazelnut mix.
Pour more of the milk chocolate and Ferrero mix over the ingredients, saving some for one more layer.
Top with remaining cherries, marshmallows and hazelnuts.
Pour rest of milk chocolate and Ferrero mix over the top.
Refrigerate overnight.
If you can wait until morning (and this recipe is so yummy there’s no guarantee!), simply remove the rocky road from the cake tin and cut into rough chunks. Wrap in festive cellophane – a Christmassy green or red, perhaps – and a jaunty bow and be prepared to be everyone’s favourite Santa!
This delicious Christmas recipe was provided by Kate, a stay-at-home mother of 3, who just wants a Ferrero Christmas hamper for Christmas!
Susie’s Note: I don’t know if I can wait until Christmas to try this- can you say “Christmas in July”?
