OPA! To a Better You with Old London

I love to snack. I am always on the look out for healthier options {like popcorn & fruit} but sometimes, I just want salt- bad. It’s hard to find healthy, salty options- but I just discovered a couple that are super yummy: Melba Snacks & Bagel Chips!!

Bagel Chips

Made by the same company {Old London} that makes Melba Toast {which is yummy and a great bread alternative that makes for a light & easy lunch}, Melba Snacks & Bagel Chips make a great replacement to typical crackers & chips! They come in several flavors {Sea Salt is my favorite so far} & make a great snack right from the box or with your favorite topping. &The ingredient list is fairly easy to pronounce, which makes me feel a bit better about my snacking habit.

Their Facebook page has several recipes from Chef Johnny Iuzzini & Chef Christopher Kostow that look amazing. I want to try the Melba Toast Quiche:

Melba Toast Quiche

Melba Toast Quiche


  • 15 Old London Sea Salt Melba Snacks, roughly chopped
  • 8 Eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup Light cream
  • 1/3 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
  • 1/3 cup Oil-packed sun dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2/3 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tbsp. Butter


  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Butter a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Combine all ingredients until well mixed and pour into the dish. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes or until the middle is set. Allow to chill slightly. Unmold from baking dish and slice.
  2. Serve with a small Greek salad.

Reach for healthy snacks. I keep smart snack options on hand to keep my energy up between meals like a handful of almonds, some Greek yogurt and honey or a few Old London Melba Snacks with hummus.

Go dancing. In Greece, dancing is a large part of any celebration or gathering. I love going dancing with friends; not only do we have a great time but I also get a workout!

Healthy Living = Happiness. You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to plan a gettogether. Invite friends and family over just because! Ask guests to bring a dish, or set out appetizers like olives, cheese and Old London Melba Toast for everyone to enjoy. I’ve found being happy is a big step to staying healthy.

Love yourself. People come in all shapes and sizes, and what works on others won’t
necessary work for you. Being healthy is about how you feel. Stop comparing yourself to others and begin loving the person you are from head to toe.
