Wake Up a Winner with Avocados from Mexico!

We tend to eat the same things all the time for breakfast: peanut butter toast, waffles, or the occasional bowl of cereal. I've been eating a variety of Nutrisystem foods lately, but Justin's still stuck in the same old rut. I was sent this yummy looking recipe to share with you, but I think I'm going to have to make it for Justin!

Avocado Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 fully ripened avocado from Mexico, halved, pitted and peeled
  • Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 large slices of bread, toasted
  • Optional: 2 slices of bacon, cooked and halved or 2 tbsp. chopped tomato

Directions:
In a bowl, coarsely mash avocado with a fork; season with salt & pepper to taste. Divide avocado onto toast & spread to cover; cut each slice in half. If desired, tuck a piece of bacon into avocado on each toast half or slice tomato over top & serve.
