When Shane was a baby, I couponed. Not like the often-crazy people you see on Extreme Couponing, but enough that I knew good prices for things & had a dedicated shelf for my “stockpile”. Now that I’m working part-time, blogging full-time, and have a crazy toddler instead of a baby who sleeps all day, my time for couponing has severely diminished.
I don’t have time to sit & clip tons of coupons, but I still love saving money, which is why I was super excited to hear about the new just for U program at Vons grocery stores!
The just for U program was designed to help you save both time & money- there are no coupons to clip but rather digital coupons that you can load right to your Club Card with the click of a button.
The program also lives up to it’s name by really being just for U- your purchase history is taken into account on your card to give you access to special savings selected just for you based on what you normally buy! This is a great way to not only save you extra money but save you even more time, too- what’s the use of looking through sales you won’t use?
My personalized deals included lots of great deals on cleaning supplies, and it was really cool because each item listed the Walmart Price {or for Safeway branded items, it showed their regular price} as well as my “Personalized Price”, which was always way lower than the regular prices!
It was super easy to sign up, too- I just went online & hooked up the shopper’s card I already had to my email address so I could have online access to select coupons & get my deals. And when I got to the store, all I had to do was swipe my Club Card!
I love this new system because not only does it save me money, but it allows me to feel good about saving all that money without wasting hours clipping paper coupons!

I love it, I have been using it for a few months now. No clipping coupons or worrying about getting a paper before they sell out. I always get my discount. It’s great.
