In The Baby Planner, thirty-seven year old Katie Johnson wants nothing more in life than to be a mother. Her husband, Alex, already has a child from a previous relationship- and that woman took his son & fled to another country, leaving a hole in his heart that he’s just too afraid to fill with a new child. He keeps telling Katie that when the time is right, they’ll have a child- but the time is never right. It’s not right when Katie gets laid off from her job as a product safety advocate; it isn’t right when she begins a new career, completely by accident, as a baby planner. So Katie decides to take things into her own hands & tries to trick Alex into getting her pregnant. But will she get her happily ever after?

The Baby Planner is a fascinating look not only at the life of an amazing and strong woman, but at the field of baby planning. As a mother, I find myself equally wishing I would have had a baby planner when I was pregnant and wanting to become one to help other women on their way to motherhood. &As a blogger, particularly one who does product reviews, I smiled a bit when I read of Katie’s adventures in social media and blogging- it was portrayed very realistically and acknowledged how much work really goes into it.
If you’re a mother, a blogger or a woman, you will definitely relate to this book. I found myself completely absorbed in the drama of the women’s lives and couldn’t get enough!
